Servo Amps Have CC-Link IE Field Safety Features

Mitsubishi has integrated CC-Link IE Field Safety features into its MR-J4-GF servo amplifiers, facilitating complete industrial Ethernet safety communication capabilities and attributes.

The 1-Gbit per second (Gbps) data transfer rate provides the speed and capacity for Industry 4.0, and can allow for both necessary safety control, as well as for any future diagnostic communications and other non-real time transmissions. With the CC-Link IE Field Safety integration and the additional option card MR-D30 attached, the servo amp now meets international safety standards for Category 4 PLe SIL3. The integration also makes system configuration much simpler and cleaner by reducing wiring. Other features include one-touch tuning; Advanced Vibration Suppression Control II, 4 million pulse encoders, 2.5 kHz frequency response; and a failure prediction function that detects age-related changes in machine performance based on the friction and vibrations monitored by a machine diagnosis function.
