AutomationDirect Adds Motor Control Relays and Intrinsically Safe Relays

March 23, 2020
AutomationDirect has added new motor control, phase monitor, alternating, pump seal, and intrinsically safe relays to its collection of relays.

ProSense motor control relays from AutomationDirect perform specific protective functions for motors or motor components to ensure proper and more efficient operation. Intrinsically safe relays provide safe and reliable control of loads within hazardous locations.

Phase monitor relays provide protection against premature equipment failure caused by faults on 3-phase systems. Phase monitor relays provide protection against phase loss, phase reversal, phase unbalance, undervoltage and overvoltage. These 10A-rated relays, with LED indicator(s), are compatible with Wye or Delta systems and are available in a range of voltage inputs.

Alternating relays are used in special applications where the optimization of load usage is required by equalizing the run time of two loads. These 120 VAC 10A-rated relays are available in SPDT or DPDT configurations; an onboard switch selects alternating or single-load operation.

Pump seal failure relays monitor the shaft seals of submersible pumps. The relay output can be used to give an alarm indication of a leaking seal. The relay will automatically reset when the fault condition clears. These 120 VAC relays include an LED fault indicator and are available for single or two-pump monitoring.

Macromatic intrinsically safe relays allow control of up to four loads with up to four corresponding discrete input devices (switches, sensors, etc.) in hazardous areas. The onboard SPST relays operate at either AC or DC coil voltage ratings. All models offer finger-safe design and include LED status indicator(s) and are 35mm DIN rail or panel mountable.
