316L Stainless Steel Monitor

July 26, 2011
The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduces a new 15" flat panel industrial monitor designed for the harshest environments, the FPM-8151H.

The FPM-8151H is a Class 1, Division 2 certified monitor, meaning that it won't cause explosions if gases, vapors and/or liquids are present making this monitor idea for the oil and gas industries.

With its NEMA4/IP65 protection and a 2.8mm thick resistive glass panel, the FPM-8151H resists dust, water, and oil from entering the monitor and can be used in temperatures ranging from -20~60°C. Ruggedization is complete with the inclusion of a 316L stainless steel front panel which, as well as making it hardwearing, is suitable for use in food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical environments.

To increase functionality, the monitor has dual function support, meaning that users can choose to control the system using either a USB or RS-232 connected controller; power it by using either a Phoenix or a DC jack; and the display can be connected via either VGA or HDMI ports for added versatility.

For added reliability and lower power consumption, the FPM-8151H uses a 5-wire and a LED backlit screen. The LED screen reduces power consumption by 22% whilst increasing brightness by 12%.
