Brazilian Presys Completes 20 Years Supplying American OEM Market

Nov. 4, 2009
Founded in 1989, the Brazilian company Presys Instrumentos e Sistemas (www.presys.com.br) is marking its 20th year of selling its line of industrial instrumentation products to the United States, especially through original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
“The measurement-and-control line consists of instruments such as controllers, indicators and transmitters, besides the software SOFTgraph. When used together, these components can compose a distributed digital control system with low cost and ease of implantation and operation. The other main line is composed of calibrators and the software ISOPLAN, for electric power, pressure and temperature,” says Presys executive Vinícius Nunes. With a significant export volume, Presys maintains representatives in several countries. In the United States, Presys has a commercial office that assists other countries, mainly in functions such as payment and transport, customs procedures and return for maintenance. “Like this, a lot that we sent to the USA is marketed to other countries. In a general way, in the American market, we maintain what is called OEM supply, for which we manufacture the products and the commercialization is made with other companies’ brands. In the USA, this system represents our largest sales volume,” says Antonio Capoia, another Presys executive. Sílvia Pereira, [email protected], is a freelance journalist based in Brazil.
