Molex Reorganizes, Sets Branding Strategy

Jan. 17, 2008
Brand and product line names are falling into place following the company’s 2006 acquisition of Woodhead.
When Molex Inc., based in Lisle, Ill., entered the industrial connectivity market through its purchase of Woodhead Industries Inc., in August 2006, it acquired such venerable and recognized brands as Woodhead, Brad Harrison, BradConnect, BradPower and SST.  As Molex integrates Woodhead into the company, it has combined that business with some legacy Molex businesses and formed the Automation and Electrical Products Division. The products will be organized under the Brad brand with recognizable names, such as Woodhead, remaining as product-line names.  The headquarters of the Division has relocated from Woodhead’s former Deerfield, Ill., headquarters to Lincolnshire, Ill., and incorporates a state-of-the-art innovation center to display various solutions centered on Molex products.Molex Inc.www.molex.com
