Nivis joins WiTECK, Brings WirelessHart Technology

The Wireless Industrial Technology Konsortium (WiTECK) announced  that Nivis, LLC has joined WiTECK.  Both WiTECK and Nivis are providers of WirelessHART communication technology for field devices.  The addition of Nivis’ WirelessHART gateway technology rounds out WiTECK’s capability and extends Nivis’ product reach in the process automation industry.

"Nivis’ technology contribution to WiTECK is a commitment to wireless vendor interoperability and continued industry recognition of WirelessHART as the predominant international wireless technology standard for the process industry", says Martin Zielinski, President of WiTECK. WiTECK is an open, non-profit membership organization whose mission "is to provide a reliable, cost-effective, high-quality portfolio of core enabling system software for industrial wireless sensing applications, under a company- and platform-neutral umbrella."

WiTECK develops, promotes and distributes software communication stacks and supporting products for use within the process control and factory automation markets worldwide. The members of WiTECK are ABB, Emerson Process Management, Endress+Hauser, Nivis, Pepperl+Fuchs, Siemens and Softing.
