Real-Time Data Management Company OSIsoft Appoints New President

OSIsoft, producer of infrastructure software for industry, announced that its board of directors has approved several changes in senior management to address the company's rapid growth and development of new products and services.

OSIsoft, producer of infrastructure software for industry, announced that its board of directors has approved several changes in senior management to address the company's rapid growth and development of new products. Effective July 16, 2012, Jenny Linton replaces Bernard Morneau as president of OSIsoft, LLC. Mr. Morneau has transitioned to a new position as OSIsoft’s chief strategy officer and will lead OSIsoft’s strategic relationships with global resellers.

Ms. Linton has been with OSIsoft since 1986 and most recently was executive vice president of operations and administration along with being on OSIsoft’s board of directors since January 2011. As president, she will now lead the company’s effort to maintain and grow market leadership in streaming data and events infrastructure for the energy and manufacturing industries.

Ms. Linton commented "I am very honored and excited about this leadership opportunity, and look forward to visiting our customers around the world to learn from each of them how we can continue to improve OSIsoft products and services. Our unflagging dedication to the success of our customers is paramount to the long-term success of OSIsoft", said Ms. Linton. She added, "We have incredible people and technology combined with unsurpassed customer focus; a combination that is very difficult for anyone else to duplicate."

OSIsoft chief executive officer and founder, Dr. Patrick Kennedy, noted Ms. Linton’s experience and background are instrumental to lead the company in developing new technologies for increased customer demands that can be quickly and broadly implemented for each facet of the enterprise to leverage. "We are delighted to welcome Jenny into her new role and look forward to her valuable contribution as OSIsoft continues to focus on delivering an infrastructure that enables customers to realize the power of their data," said Kennedy. "We have great confidence in her ability to lead the company going forward."

OSIsoft also announced that Martin Otterson has been promoted to the role of senior vice president of sales, marketing, and industry. Mr. Otterson brings more than 15 years of software experience and sales success to this position. He has held multiple positions at OSIsoft, most recently helping grow the company’s European business unit as the vice president of EMEA and Russia. Prior to joining OSIsoft, Mr. Otterson worked at Cisco Systems where he was instrumental in the acquisition of the Unity product line from Active Voice.

"Martin will bring a strong skill-set and enthusiasm to the team," said Dr. Kennedy, adding "we take great pleasure in Martin’s new appointment and look forward to his contribution to OSIsoft, its customers, partners, employees and community."

Dr. Kennedy also said "these changes reflect our determination to maintain our unique position of leadership in the rapidly expanding field of big data infrastructure management. I have personally worked with Jenny, Martin, and Bernard over the past several years to share with them my vision for the future, and know that they value our intense commitment to customer value."
