Profibus LinkedIn Group Change

May 15, 2013
A new LinkedIn group—Profibusters—now serves as a forum for Profibus and Profinet discussions.

Following the transition of the “Profibus Network Diagnostic, Maintenance and Troubleshooting” LinkedIn group to an Italian language only format, Ron Mitchell has launched “Profibusters”.

This new group will “target topics that include commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting problems and solutions, as well as managing questions and answers and shared experiences among members,” says Mitchell. Profibus and Profinet subgroups to this new LinkedIn group will be formed to “more closely align discussions with the specific technology,” he adds.

Some of the discussions already taking place in the new Profibusters group include:
• Sharing experiences with Siemens trailing cable;
• M12 connectors for outdoor installations; and
• The preferred way to tag Profibus networks.
