Helukabel, one of the world’s leading cable manufacturers, has been selected as “Supplier of the Year 2012” by HOMAG at a ceremony held recently in Helukabel’s global headquarters in Hemmingen near Stuttgart, Germany. This is the first time that HOMAG, a leading global supplier of woodworking machines, has given the award twice to a supplier for excellent quality and on-time deliveries. Helukabel originally was the recipient of this award in 1999.
“With Helukabel the customer care is such that you always feel you are an ‘A-grade’ customer. The entire support, whether technical, commercial or logistical, is excellent. Furthermore, our complaint rate has been almost zero for years because of short delivery times and a very high availability of all cables Helukabel stocks,” said Bernd Bok, Head of Purchasing at HOMAG. “HOMAG has a global footprint, especially in the Asian market, which is an important future area of growth for our industry. That’s why we need good and reliable suppliers who want to grow with us in these markets.”
HOMAG’s “Supplier of the Year” award is judged by a panel consisting of quality management, purchasing, and R&D representatives. Suppliers eligible to receive the award, each of which must meet a certain minimum revenue level, are scored on various criteria such as quality, logistics, on-time delivery and service. Helukabel was selected as this year’s award winner from a supplier pool of about 50 vendors.
