These N-tron brand fully-managed switches provide a variety of fiber connectivity options that enable users to cost-effectively customize solutions to meet specific network requirements. With up to four fiber optic ports, the new switches provide noise immunity for areas subject to high electromagnetic interference (EMI). Fiber Ethernet supports distances up to 80 km, making the switches suitable for wind farm, railway and power applications. The switches are available with eight auto sensing 10/100BaseTX ports and a choice of up to four 100Base fiber ports or two 100Base fiber ports and two SFP gigabit expansion ports. The series is certified by KEMA Labs, a respected certification testing laboratory specializing in the energy market for compliance with the IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards for electric utility applications such as power substations.
