The Rosemount 644 temperature transmitter features microprocessor and ease-of-use improvements, as well as a modular design that enables customized functionality at each process point. Features include:

Hot backup — ensures that if the primary sensor fails, a second sensor seamlessly takes  over to prevent measurement failure. Sensor drift alert detects drifting sensor feedback and notifies the user. Thermocouple degradation monitors the health of the thermocouple loop.
  • Single- or dual-sensor Inputs including RTD, thermocouple, mV and Ohm.
  • Minimum and maximum tracking via software or diagnostic tools.
  • The 644 series transmitters are available in head and DIN rail mounting styles and are HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and Profibus PA compatible. The 644 is also now SIS SIL 2 certified to comply with IEC 61508.
