The system allows for wired and wireless equipment mixes to avoid radio signal obstacles. It is simple to configure for existing network packet parameters, provides LED indication of network status and is completely transparent to present equipment. Networks can be set up with up to 100 meters between receivers, and data transmissions up to 800 meters are possible with multiple hops. Wiring to the terminal block is tool-free - in fact users simply strip and insert the power supply and equipment network cable conductors into the marked position. Each WRT radio can be configured as a master or slave and set to transmit Modbus RTU formatted packets. Network address and channel frequency switches are always visible for field selection to suit the specific application and environmental conditions. The transmitter/receiver is compatible with most automation systems and is suitable for use in applications that require continuous monitoring such as photovoltaic power generation, building energy management, water treatment, power plants, and many manufacturing processes.
