FDT Group: Integrate FDT Frame Applications with FOUNDATION™ fieldbus Networks

Softing's Linking Device and Modbus Gateway FG-110-FF is designed for plant operators and system integrators. It supports connectivity to up-to four FOUNDATION™ fieldbus H1 segments with as many as 64 field devices.

The Modbus Gateway capability allows plant operators to integrate existing legacy control systems with modern FOUNDATION™ fieldbus devices.

The Linking Device supports the unique control-in-the-field aspect of FOUNDATION™ fieldbus and includes a communications DTM to effortlessly configure field devices using standard FDT Frame Applications (e.g. SMART VISION, FieldMate, Field Device Manager, or PACTware).

Furthermore, the FG-110-FF is a key component for implementing additional automation functions for FOUNDATION™ fieldbus based networks throughout a plant. For instance, the Linking Device can act as the access point for asset management systems. For example, the FG-110-FF has been successfully tested with Emerson’s AMS running simultaneously to a third party host.
