Siemens introduces three compact communication modules and an industrial router for its popular Simatic S7-1200 controller.
The compact CP 1243-1, CP 1243-1 DNP3, and CP 1243-1 IEC communications modules connect the controller via Telecontrol Basic and Telecontrol Professional telecontrol systems to higher-level systems or a control center.
Designed for simple and economical applications and small data volumes the CP 1243-1 module is based on the Telecontrol Basic system. The CP 1243-1 DNP3 and CP 1243-1 IEC communication modules establish the connections according to DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-104 telecontrol protocols.
The new communications modules are easily connected to third-generation mobile wireless (UMTS) with the Scalance M874-3 industrial router.
