The LPL 30 actuators from SMAC are low-profile electric linear moving coil actuators. Designed for dosing and dispensing applications, they have a compact size, 10mm programmable stroke, and 30mm pitch. They are IP76 and IP69 rated, but if an IP rating is not needed, the size of the unit shrinks to 25 mm pitch. These actuators use a dc linear servo motor and offer programmable speed, force up to 70 newton and micron-level positioning. LPL 30 actuators have cycle rates up to 2,400 cycles per minute and feature SMAC’s patented “soft-land” capability to gently locate a surface and then perform its function and provide real-time feedback.
