The S4B heavy-duty safety light curtain from Banner Engineering is a Type 4 light curtain that uses an adjustable bracket to ease installation. The light curtains click into place, are rotated into alignment, then locked in place with bracket fasteners. Tricolor LED alignment zone indicators show if the curtains are properly aligned. The S4B has a 30mm resolution optimal for hand detection, end-to-end sensing in lengths from 300 mm to 1800 mm, and a 12-meter range. A weak beam strength warning LED on the S4B informs operators if the light curtain requires cleaning or has been bumped out of alignment. Additionally, a remote signal can be sent for local alerts. The plug-and-play pigtail with 5-pin M12 connection is removable, and a damaged cord set can be replaced by saving the scan code setting then swapping the old cord set with a new one. No PC is necessary.
