Intrinsically Safe Capacitive Sensor
Rechner’s KA9345 is an intrinsically safe capacitive sensor that has received the CSA Group Certificate of Compliance. This sensor is AEx marked intrinsically safe for explosive atmospheres, approved for Class I, Div. 1 (Zone 0) gas. This sensor comes in size M30 x 1.5 mm, with an adjustable sensing range of two to 15 mm, and cable length of 5 m. The sensing field is shielded for flush mounting. The PTFE housing is chemical resistant to acids and can work in areas with chemical aggressive media. Included with the sensor is a protection set (cable gland included) that can be installed on the back of the sensor to cover the potentiometer. Installing the protection set increases the IP rating to IP67. Permitted ambient temperature -25°C to +70°C. Two PTFE mounting nuts are included.
