Pluggable Connectors Boost Flexibility

July 1, 2006
To increase wiring options for I/O users, the vendor has expanded its Bus Terminal I/O system to include pluggable connections.

The new KS series Bus Terminals enable complete wiring to be removed as a plug connector from the face of the I/O housing by pressing an unlocking tab, without need for tools. Users insert the new I/O component and re-plug the connector in with the wiring. This reduces installation time and the risk of wiring errors. Compared to the vendor’s earlier KL Bus Terminal, the KS series adds only about 3mm to the housing width. The maximum height of the Bus Terminal remains unchanged. KL and KS series Bus Terminals can be mixed and matched on the same I/O node without restrictions, the vendor says.
