IQMS, a manufacturing ERP software and MES developer with an ongoing, proactive commitment to its product and relationships,  announced that Delta Systems, Inc., a premier designer and manufacturer of rugged and reliable switches, displays and electronic controls for outdoor power equipment, has selected IQMS as its new, comprehensive manufacturing ERP and MES solution. Finding challenges with its more than a dozen disparate legacy systems, Delta Systems was looking to streamline its data into one central location.

“Because of the limited functionality of our legacy ERP system, we have had to, over the years, purchase 12 additional software solutions to help us continue to grow our business,” said Tammi Rush, IT manager at Delta Systems, Inc. “Some of these programs were able to interface to the ERP system and some could transfer data in one direction only. However, there were four key systems that could not be integrated. This caused data to be housed in multiple locations and business decisions could not be streamlined because data to make those decisions was fragmented.”

Delta Systems will take advantage of a multitude of EnterpriseIQ modules, from shop floor control to human resources management and EDI to shipping and warehouse management. Quality control is an integral component of Delta Systems’ success (they ranked No. 9 on Quality magazine’s 2010 Quality Leadership Top 100 list), so Delta invested in IQMS’ extensive quality management suite, including document control and quality audit, to maintain its commitment to excellence. Finally, Delta Systems plans to utilize IQMS’ real-time shop floor control solution, RealTime™ Production Monitoring and RTStations, to gain transparency and control over every product it manufacturers.

“After all the reviews, demonstrations and detailed analysis of the different ERP systems we were considering, it simply came down to IQMS gave us the most integrated system and flexibility for growth,” continued Rush. “The IQMS personnel were extremely knowledgeable, not only about their EnterpriseIQ system, but about manufacturing in general. It was this knowledge that put them head and shoulders above their competitors when it came to understanding our needs.”
