The unit accepts ten different thermocouple types, 18 RTD combinations or four process voltage/current inputs and features high accuracy, two relay alarm outputs, totally programmable color displays, front removable plug connectors, programmable digital filter, high/low limit and remote reset input. It can be used to monitor the temperature of a plastics extruder, and with the programmable limit alarm setpoints, the controller can provide a visual display color change and a latching limit alarm output to shut down the process if an alarm condition exists. The unit is CE, FM and UL rated. Additional features include a built-in 24 Vdc excitation source for transmitters or other devices and a universal power supply that accepts 90 to 240 VAC. A low power option is available that supports 24 VAC or 12 to 36 VDC. Suggested applications are in the food, automotive, plastics, manufacturing and chemical industries.
