binder USA Introduces M16 Connectors with Pin Counts for 5G Networks

Feb. 18, 2021

Binder USA, LP, introduces its latest M16 connectors, designed to meet the data speeds, high frequencies, and bandwidth required for 5G wireless networks. The company’s M16 connectors can now accommodate up to 24 contacts, transmit data at up to 10Gbits/s and are compliant with AISG (Antenna Interface Standards Group) standards. The new 8-pin connectors are available with or without 360° EMI shielding and are IP68-rated when connected.

binder USA’s compact M16 connectors are widely used in instrumentation, measurement, and sensors where space it tight and/or higher pin counts than those offered M8 and M12 connectors are required. Applications include: pneumatic controls, gas and pressure measurement, torque sensors, and motor-speed regulators.

binder M16 connector highlights:

  • binder series: 423 and 723
  • Data transmission speed: Up to 10 Gbits/s
  • AISG C845 compliant
  • Contact plating: gold (Au) or silver (Ag)
  • Cable range: 4 mm to 10 mm in diameter
  • Rated voltage: 250V (impulse voltage up to 1500V)
  • Rated current: 7A
