German and Italian Partnership Produces TPA Italia

May 9, 2012
Expanding on their partnership, Deutsche Messe and Fiera Milan announce a new event called TPA Italia at a news conference at the FluidTrans trade show in Milan Italy.

With austerity abounding in Europe, two large trade fair companies have decided to combine their resources by partnering to create a new technical event to debut in May of 2014 that will showcase hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical power transmissions and drive technology. An AssoFluid Association spokesman at the announcement adds,"that this sector needs an international platform and this should give us a leap forward in visibility." The show will debut in Milan at the Fieramilano exhibition center and will boast a completely "new format" every two years.

The new is unprecedented with Deutsche Messe never taking a Hannover Messe show to another EU country. These two trade fair companies have been partners since 2008 in the HM Global joint venture that was created to develop exhibition activities together in the biggest markets outside Europe.

"With MDA in Hannover and PTC ASIA in Shanghai, we organize the two biggest and most important motion, drive and automation trade fairs in the world. Now we will exploit our expertise and intentional contact to crate, together with our long-time partner Fiera Milan, one of the leading trade fairs in Southern Europe," says Andreas Gruchow, member of the board of Deutsche Messe AG.

CEO Enrico Pazzali adds,"Italy has some of the leading producers of fluid and mechanical power transmission components and system in the world. TPA Italia will be a trade fair that meets their need for development, a highly effective platform for networking and business." The exhibition will be completed and enriched with a program of fringe event designed to encourage knowledge sharing. Two major trade associations, AssoFluid and Assiot, have endorsed the new event.
