New Condition Monitoring Application Center Targets Oil, Gas, Power Gen

June 6, 2012
The first of nine GE Customer Application Centers to be unveiled in 2012, this Nevada-based center lets customers interact with and customize Bently Nevada’s machine protection and condition monitoring products.

GE’s Bently Nevada, a GE Measurement & Control business, announced the grand opening of a state-of-the-art Customer Application Center (CAC) at Bently Nevada headquarters in Minden, Nev. At an invitation-only ribbon cutting ceremony in June, customers who toured the facility saw Bently Nevada machinery-protection and condition-monitoring products installed in a simulated industrial environment featuring some of the most demanding applications across the oil, gas and power generation industries.

The Minden facility is the first in a series of nine GE Customer Application Centers scheduled open around the world in 2012.

The new facility "showcases how GE Bently Nevada products and services work together to optimize plant operations, maximize the value of equipment, enable successful expansion with on-time projects and lower long-term maintenance expenses," said Art Eunson, Bently Nevada general manager.

At the CAC, GE customers can participate in training sessions, demonstrations and customization exercises through a series of interactive interfaces and multimedia presentations designed to address unique needs. On-site GE domain experts offer one-on-one support, helping customers to operate safely while maximizing plant uptime and efficiency.

“At GE Measurement & Control, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare for manufacturing and industrial environments by continuously exploring solutions for tomorrow, keeping our customers at the forefront of quality, safety, service and productivity,” said Eunson. “At our new Minden CAC, customers can experience the many benefits of applying industry best practices exemplified by GE’s Bently Nevada industry-leading products and services.”
