Motion Industries to Acquire Allied Circuits

To expand its automation market coverage, Motion has signed an agreement to purchase Buffalo, N.Y.-based Allied Circuits.

Motion Industries, a distributor of maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts and a provider of industrial technologies, has signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Allied Circuits, an electrical and automation firm. 

Allied Circuits will join Motion’s business unit, Motion Automation Intelligence (Motion Ai). The addition of Allied Circuits will contribute to Motion’s skilled workforce, ATEX certification capabilities and add more than 20,000 sq. ft. of additional production space to Motion Ai’s existing presence in the area. 

With this acquisition, Motion Ai’s total region size will expand to more than 100,000 sq. ft. of production space and 150 people.

Founded in 1987, Allied Circuits designs, manufactures and services industrial control panels, electro-mechanical assemblies, robotic automation and integrated systems. The company serves customers in the western and upstate New York markets and into Ontario, Canada. End markets include aerospace, automotive, filtration, fluid systems and plumbing, food and beverage, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, semiconductor and water and wastewater treatment facilities.
