Selective Shut Down

June 1, 2003
Unnecessary downtime can be avoided with the Sitop Select electronic diagnosis module. The unit provides selectivity for switched mode power supplies with multiple 24VDC current circuits, by shutting down only the circuit affected by a short.

“Almost all switched mode power supplies shut down the entire 24VDC supply before a fuse or circuit breaker trips an individual circuit. Now there is no reason to lose 24VDC in all circuits,” says product manager Kai-Uwe Bronzel. The DIN rail mounted Sitop Select can protect four individual load circuits at one time and several modules can be connected to a single power supply.
