Telit LTE Cat 1 Module Receives Certification for T-Mobile’s 4G LTE Network

Aug. 8, 2017
Telit, a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced that the LE910-NA1, a LTE Category 1 (Cat 1) IoT module, is certified for use on T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network and has been added as an option for T-Mobile’s IoT Access packs, which combine simple IoT pricing with industry-leading Cat 1 chips.

Telit‘s LE910-NA1 seamlessly enables a wide range of industrial and consumer IoT applications, including asset tracking, alarm systems, telematics devices, retail applications, smart utility meters and more.
Availability of the Telit LE910-NA1 certified by T-Mobile solves a common problem for developers and integrators. Frequently, design teams developing new IoT devices focus on the products’ functional requirements but underestimate the complexities of wireless network compliance, such as costly RF equipment, testing and certification schedules. With the pre-certified LE910-NA1 developers eliminate these steps, resulting in faster time to market, lower development costs, and world-class performance and reliability.

“We are proud to support T-Mobile’s IoT Access packs with Telit’s top LTE Cat 1 module—the popular LE910-NA1,“ said Dennis Kelly, vice president of Telit Americas. “The availability of this fully-certified module enables device makers to leverage the standard’s current and future capabilities and accelerate the launch of IoT products powered by T-Mobile’s nationwide 4G LTE network.“

With T-Mobile’s IoT Access packs, new and existing customers can get everything they need – including modules and data – to develop the next great IoT solution. For a limited time, new and existing T-Mobile IoT customers can get unlimited data at 64kbps for just $20 per year per device, with up to $16 per certified module covered via a bill credit from T-Mobile upon activation.*

“Bringing a connected IoT solution to market can be complicated – but T-Mobile is turning the industry on its head,” said Doug Chartier, senior vice president, MVNO, M2M and IoT at T-Mobile. “With our low-cost IoT Access packs, customers can focus on developing their products for our 4G LTE network instead of worrying about managing their data usage.”

The LE910-NA1 is a dual-mode LTE Cat 1 IoT module positioned for developers and integrators looking to integrate future-proof low category LTE technology into their designs.Benefits of the technology include significant bandwidth, longer product lifecycle, cost savings, and an easy migration path to LTE from 2G and 3G in existing IoT devices. With speeds of 5 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download, this model supports LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12 and 13 and 3G bands 2 and 5. The LE910-NA1 is a member of Telit’s best-selling xE910 family of pin-compatible modules, which serve as a drop-in replacement in devices that are based on the family’s 2G and 3G models.
