Power management company Eaton today announced the company’s Xcel series low-speed, high-torque spool and disc valve motors.
Power management company Eaton today announced the company’s Xcel series low-speed, high-torque spool and disc valve motors. The new motors are designed to optimize performance and reliability for light- and medium-duty applications to optimize performance in an economical package.
"We’re continuously looking to meet our customers’ expectations and many manufacturers today are looking for motors specifically designed to match work circuit duty cycles to reduce their overall cost,” said Todd Degler, product manager, Geroler Motors, Eaton. “Our new Xcel series low-speed, high-torque spool and disc valve motors are optimized to offer superior performance for light- and medium-duty applications at a manageable price point.”
The new motors are part of Eaton’s two-tier portfolio approach, which is structured to help customers get the right motor for their application, whether a premium or standard product is required. The Xcel series solutions are engineered with reliability in mind and backed by a two-year warranty to give customers confidence in their motor selection.
The standard tier systems require operation time of up to 4,000 hours of life, which meets the needs of the medium-duty market in terms of pressure, torque, and side load capability.
The new Xcel series motors feature a three-zone design allowing true bi-directional operation and a case drain option that improves resistance to pressure spikes, and extends seal and motor life. The motor's easy-to-design-in features and displacements make it an ideal solution for applications with more generic design needs.
