Packaging machine provides flexibility and automation

Sept. 25, 2019
The future-proof modular system offers increased functional efficiency.

GEA (gea.com) launched the redesigned SmartPacker TwinTube high-speed packaging machine at PACK EXPO Las Vegas. A continuous motion vertical machine, it operates with two parallel forming tubes, achieving combined speeds of up to 500 bags, weighing 10 to 18 g each, per min. The machine also allows a different film reel to be run for each tube, so small-sized, food products, such as candy, nuts, dried fruits and other on-the-go products, can be filled simultaneously in pillow bags of different widths or designs.
