Application Note: Can Palletizer Safety

Feb. 9, 2012
Omron Scientific Technologies, Inc. has available a new brochure on Can Palletizer Safety and Productivity.
The brochure provides an overview of the palletizer process, guarding challenges and hazard analysis, and highlights Omron STI's concept of the future of can palletizer safety, rooted in the G9SP Stand-alone Safety Controller. The G9SP ties the Omron STI system together, eliminates the need for multiple safety relays and easily connects to PLC and motion controllers.

For companies where can palletizers require operator interaction with each cycle, who rely on human behavior to protect operators and whose productivity is or would be hindered by traditional safeguards such as fencing and light curtains, this brochure illustrates how simplified safety control, achieved through best in class components, can improve safety and profitability.

The brochure can be downloaded in PDF format at http://www.sti.com/applications/index.htm.
