HARTING announced that it has developed a Roadshow Truck that will travel across North America showcasing leading connectivity solutions. The truck showcases industrial and small form industrial connectors, cable assemblies, board level connectors, backplane assemblies, industrial Ethernet switches, and HARTING’s industrial RFID solution. It brings HARTING one step closer to their goal of supporting the engineering community with the industry knowledge they need for their daily tasks.

“HARTING is committed to educating the market on new technologies,” said Jon DeSouza, President and CEO of HARTING, Inc. of North America. “Engineers need the right tools to better inform themselves when choosing a connector solution– We aren’t here to just sell a product,” DeSouza said, “We want to show what’s out there in the world of industrial connectivity – and help to find the solution that’s right for a specific application.”

“Each customer’s need is different,” adds Christina Chatfield, Director of Marketing Communications. “And that’s why the Roadshow Truck offers a very targeted user-experience through interactive apps and interchangeable product displays. That way the customer can choose what he or she wants to focus on.”

The Roadshow Truck is an expansion of the educational initiatives HARTING launched last year through their free, web-based portal HARTING-U.com. HARTING-U is the engineer’s single source for white papers, FAQ’s, tutorial videos, best practices, technical articles, case studies, customer testimonials, apps and press information regarding industrial connectivity.

The HARTING Roadshow Truck started its yearlong tour on September 18 at Boyce Technologies in New York City. The tour will then continue through the US and Canada.
