Because of its lower power loss, the power supply unit generates less heat, which means less thermal stress for the individual components within the housing and increases its own lifetime and that of nearby components. In addition, the unit offers Power Boost, providing up to 50% more power for up to 4 seconds, making it possible to start higher loads and capacities without a second power supply unit. Other features include current limiting on short or overload, alarm contacts that signal short-circuits, overloads and high temperatures, and operating temperature range of -25 to +60 °C. Input voltage range is 85 to 265 VAC (90 to 250 VDC), while available outputs are 12, 24 and 48 VDC.
