Service protects robots for life

Mitsubishi Electric now offers a four-tiered robot preventive maintenance service called Robot Diamond Assurance that can reduce total cost of ownership and prevent premature failure and costly, unplanned downtime.

Recurring service is provided by Mitsubishi Electric factory-trained technicians who make regularly scheduled maintenance visits to inspect key components such as belts, ball screws and splines. An electronic service report is sent after every visit, detailing inspection results and any additional actions that may be required to keep robots in peak condition.

The plan protects a purchaser’s investment and maximizes the operating life of robots. It covers service every four to 12 months, depending on the component to be inspected and the service level selected. Robot Diamond Assurance coverage can begin at either the time of initial purchase of the robot or up to 90 days after. The plans are renewable and available in the continental US, Canada and limited parts of Mexico.
