Hi, I’m Daniel Gaddy. I recently joined Automation World as our new lead reporter.

I may be new to AW, but I’m no stranger to the industrial sector. I’m coming to AW from fellow EndeavorB2B brand Processing magazine, which covers the process industries worldwide, including the chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and petrochemical fields, focusing on how processing leaders can improve their operations.

Same goal here at Automation World, slightly different focus.

A little background on me…I started at Endeavor in 2018 as an assistant editor for Processing. I also served as the editor for Water Technology magazine, a publication that focused on the industrial water-treatment sector. When Water Technology was combined with Processing, I came back to that team as managing editor. For the last two years I’d focused on expanding Processing’s multimedia offerings, including video content and the “Ear on Processing” podcast.

Before joining Endeavor2B, I worked for more than 15 years in community newspapers in central Alabama, where I earned my journalism degree. In my last role there I was the assistant metro editor for The Anniston Star.

I’m honored to now cover issues relevant to this world of automation. Industrial automation was and continues to be a major topic of interest for both Processing and Water Technology, so I’m already familiar with many of the thought leaders and solutions covered by AW.  And I’m excited to meet and learn from those of you I haven’t yet met.
