AC-Powered Rackmount Switch

July 20, 2011
N-TRON Corporation, a leading manufacturer of rugged industrial networking products, today expanded its fully-managed gigabit-capable 7026TX Series with the introduction of the 26-port 7026TX-AC rack-mounted switch.

Like the 7026TX, released in March (2011), this switch is designed for installation in a 19 open-frame rack or machine cabinet. Both models feature a flexible multiport design with twenty-four (24) 10/100BaseTX copper interfaces and two (2) gigabit SFP expansion ports. The new 7026TX-AC accepts either high-voltage AC or DC power (90-264 VAC or 90-300 VDC).

Both 7026TX models are designed with the companyfs signature N-Ring technology featuring N-Link redundancy and N-View OPC server. N-Ring technology provides expanded ring capacity, detailed fault diagnostics and fast ~30ms healing times. Multiple N-Rings.each containing up to 250 N-Tron fully managed devices.can be quickly connected through N-Link, forming redundant communication pathways and increasing overall network resiliency. The N-View OPC server easily interfaces with industry-standard HMI software, enabling integration of switch information. Additionally, N-Tron provides a robust browser interface to check and configure switch options, view network traffic, alarms and trend information.

The 7026TX products provide a range of convenient auto-sensing and auto-configuring processes. Fully-managed features include port security, local IP addressing, trunking, port mirroring, VLAN, IGMP snooping and querying, CIP messaging, QoS, LLDP, DHCP, RSTP and optional SD configuration backup capability.

Both 7026TX models are designed for maximum reliability and provide expanded tolerances to vibration, electrical noise, and temperature extremes from -40. to 80. C. Each unit offers LED indicators for link status and activity on each port and ESD/surge protection diodes on the 24 10/100BaseTX ports. The series carries a rating of one million MTBF.

UL Safety Certification
Underwriterfs Laboratories (UL) has approved the 7026 series. Both models have earned the UL and C-UL (Class I-Div 2) HazLoc safety certification, signifying that the products are safe for use in the presence of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids as well as ordinary locations. The UL approval is an internationally respected acknowledgement of the products' safety and compliance to the testing organizationfs strict standards. Pricing and Availability The 7026TX series is available through N-Tronfs worldwide network of distributors and sales partners.
