The compact Q10S proximity sensor is the latest addition to the vendor’s line of advanced factor 1 sensors.
At a size of 10x10x28mm, it can achieve sensing distances of up to 5mm,
depending on mounting configuration. The sensors feature an active side
face and detect all metals—including aluminum, copper and steel—at the
same rated distance without requiring reinstallation, saving labor
costs over traditional ferrite-core proximity sensors. Q10S sensors
provide an integrated pre-damping function that allows them to be
mounted directly on metal or flush-mounted, with metal present on four
sides, without a reduction in performance. With an intermediate metal
plate, the IP68-rated sensors can even be mounted directly beside one
another without causing interference, says the vendor. Turck Inc.www.turck.com800.544.7769
