PDA-based Hart Configuration

Oct. 1, 2008
DevCom2000 PDA (Smart Device Communicator) is a full-featured Hart device configuration software package for the PDA platform.

The software allows access to all the features and functionality available in the Hart device DD on a hand-held device. This includes monitoring and editing device variables and executing all device DD Methods. “Now a complete hand-held Hart solution is available at a fraction of the cost of traditional Hart Communicators,” says Jeffrey Dobos, president at the vendor. The software is based on the SDC-625 technology developed by the Hart Communication Foundation (HCF), which allows full and complete access to all data in the device DD.  Device configuration quality is greatly enhanced by using SDC-625 based hosts. The software can also work with wireless modems and technology.
