Service Oriented Architecture for MES

April 9, 2008
Ampla V3.2 is a scalable manufacturing execution system (MES) solution designed to drive the effective planning, operation and improvement of production operations.
The software uses a new Web service layer to support service-oriented architectures (SOAs). The vendor’s Web Services have been designed up-front for platform independence and interoperability, including culture invariance, time zone independence, WS-I compliance testing and Java interoperability testing. It also connects more seamlessly than previous versions to standard reporting tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services, Crystal Reports and others, allowing IT departments and end-users to more easily leverage their existing reporting infrastructures.
