Safety PLC Market Shares

Exida.com, a Sellersville, Pa., company that specializes in safety training and consulting, has developed worldwide market share estimates for major vendors of Safety PLCs. The numbers do not represent installed base, but approximate each vendors’ percentage of sales during 2002, when Exida estimates the worldwide market for Safety PLC hardware totaled 98 million. The numbers are based on interviews with the vendors and other sources, says Bill Goble, principal partner at Exida.
