The updated software is a value-add product to the Proficy historian that allows companies to look at historical data, determine cause of variation, put active intelligent monitoring in place and trigger operational workflows based on intelligent data-based rules or models. The platform can be combined with a HMI/SCADA system to find causes for problems in real time and notifying plant personnel of impending process issues.
With the updated version, users can now use a data preparation engine that allows defined data recipes. The data prep engine affords quicker setup time, reduced training for new users and provides data prior to the analysis being performed, says the company.
The software features Excel Add-In for exporting data to Microsoft Excel and a set of Matlab extensions that deliver the ability to embed those components within the Troubleshooter objects. It can also execute Matlab code within a Troubleshooter component.
