Digital Camera Manufacturer Doubles Assembly Capacity

July 15, 2010
With the addition of a latest-generation parts placement machine, Basler Vision Technologies has doubled their camera assembly capacity.
Jan Lemke, Head of Production at Basler explains: "Over the last few years, Basler has made ongoing investments in our production capabilities. Through continuous improvement, we have become a leader regarding cost efficiency, quality, and flexibility. With this new machine, we are aligned with current market and customer requirements, and we are well equipped for the future."

Basler is benefiting from the ongoing economic recovery and an increase in capital equipment spending, and since the beginning of the year, incoming order growth has been very strong. This applies especially to the GigE camera segment, which is showing the largest percentage growth when compared to analog or digital cameras with other interfaces. With the added production capacity, Basler is in an optimal position to respond to rising order quantities and to extend their market leadership in the GigE segment.
