Multi-Company Alliance Provides Digital Oilfield Expertise

Jan. 8, 2018
Endress+Hauser has formed an alliance with Angus Measurement Services, TechnipFMC and Vector Controls to help oil and gas customers take advantage of Industry 4.0 capabilities.

There are tremendous opportunities in combining Industry 4.0 sensibilities with oil and gas production. But getting the industry to the realities of the digital oilfield still has work ahead of it, with cooperation needed on all fronts.

Endress+Hauser has elicited help from other automation companies—Angus Measurement Services, TechnipFMC and Vector Controls and Automation Group—to help inform and better prepare oil and gas customers for Industry 4.0. The partners will collaborate to bring added value to the oil and gas industry, assisting customers with their transition to the digital oilfield.

“Endress+Hauser is excited to work alongside Angus Measurement, TechnipFMC and Vector Controls,” said Brian Hoover, business development manager for Endress+Hauser. “Together we deliver real-time information on product quality, quantity and value for our customers in the oil and gas industry.”

The companies’ combined strengths and expertise will provide oil and gas customers measurement certainty, better operational performance to enhance revenue, improved operations safety, regulatory compliance and predictive maintenance—in all, lowering the total cost of operations and optimizing the measurement and management of customers’ gas, oil and water resources.

Each partner will contribute focused areas of product and/or service expertise:

  • Endress+Hauser, focused on measurement instrumentation and services, provides intelligent field instruments and digital communication expertise.
  • Angus specializes in liquid hydrocarbon custody and allocation measurement systems. Its system fabrication and technology consultants helps customers optimize the performance of gas, oil and water assets.
  • TechnipFMC is a global player in subsea, onshore/offshore and surface projects. The company develops modularized systems, and its oil and gas measurement systems and design capabilities deploy best-in-class technology.
  • Vector, which is a sales and service representative for Endress+Hauser, has expertise in gas analytics, measurement and control.

Hoover emphasized the value that the technology partnership can provide. “We deliver industry expertise that is unparalleled and systems capabilities that can digitalize the oilfield of the future—delivering Industry 4.0 to the oil and gas industry today,” he said.
