Beckhoff has added new functions and technology packages to its TwinCAT 3 CNC (TF5200) software: TwinCAT 3 CNC Online Adaption (TF5262) offers TcCOM interfaces that integrate customer-specific modules for online control of functions such as dynamic contour control (DCC), tool radius compensation and geometric feed rate adjustment; TwinCAT 3 CNC Extended Interpolation (TF5263) enables two-path interpolation; TwinCAT 3 CNC AM Plus (TF5291) makes programmed contour elements available to the PLC in advance; TwinCAT 3 CNC EDM Plus (TF5292) combines the functions from other packages with cylindrical compensation for EDM wire erosion, a real-time cycle per channel, and retraction strategies for die-sinking EDM.
