April 5, 2012
Iconics, supplier of HMI/SCADA, energy management and manufacturing intelligence software for MS Windows operating systems, announced compatibility with MS SQL Server 2012.

"Iconics customers can now take advantage of SQL Server 2012's advanced BI capabilities," said Herain Oberoi, director of SQL Server product marketing for Microsoft. "We're excited to see the benefits of this release add value to the energy management and manufacturing arena."

According to Oberoi, "SQL Server 2012 delivers a powerful new set of capabilities for mission-critical workloads, business intelligence and hybrid IT across traditional datacenters and private and public clouds. Features such as Power View and SQL Server Data Tools expand the self-service BI capabilities delivered with PowerPivot, and provide an integrated development environment for SQL Server developers. The new ColumnStore Index delivers over 10x data warehouse performance gains."

Iconics integrates a wide number of its products with SQL Server 2012 to leverage such cutting edge features to support the Iconics StreamInsight complex event processing engine in its AnalytiX solutions. The company also continues to support earlier SQL Server versions, including SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2005 in multiple products.
SQL Server 2012 is compatible with Iconics Genesis64 HMI/SCADA suite, Hyper Historian high-speed data historian, Energy AnalytiX advanced energy management system and Facility AnalytiX predictive tools for facilities management, said Melissa Topp, senior solution sales evangelist at Iconics.
