Hassle-Free Connections

May 1, 2004
The ease-of-assembly provided by the vendor’s line of solder-free and crimp-free Subcon D-Sub connectors is now extended to include high-density 37- and 15-position versions of the connector family.

The Subcon product family reduces hassles in making D-Sub cable assemblies by enabling cable connection to easy-to-wire screw clamp terminal blocks, so that only a screwdriver is required for fast and easy terminations, the vendor says. The Subcon 37 and 15-HD come in an EMI-RFI shielded housing for use in sensitive communication applications. Integral strain relief ensures a reliable connection to the terminals. Each subcon 37 and 15-HD features an option of one or two cable entries. Male and female versions are available with integral jack screws to prevent accidental cable unplugging.
