Nord’s IE5+ permanent magnet synchronous motor, first releases in 2021, now offers ventilated designs and larger frame sizes. The motors are UL/CSA certified and include a larger size 90 TENV, as well as a new TEFC ventilated design. The size 90 motors extend the power range up to 3 hp for areas where high corrosion resistance is required. They feature a fanless design, are available with IP69K protection and can be treated with Nord’s Sealed Surface Conversion system to withstand harsh environments. The ventilated TEFC IE5+ motor enables cool operation with a high overload capacity and constant torque over the full speed range of 0.5 to 5 hp. These motors are available in 71 and 90 sizes and feature a motor integrated encoder and optional integrated mechanical brake.
