Quantum Devices’ QM22 series of optical incremental encoders measure 22 mm in diameter, allowing for integration into tight spaces. These are modular encoders are designed for high volume OEM applications. Electrical configurations include line counts up to 2500 and several commutation options. The QM22 encoder series offers resolutions up to 2,048 cycles per revolution or 8,192 counts per revolution when used with an x4 count quadrature decoder. The QM22 also features its own patented lock-n-twist installation mechanism. The QM22’s encapsulated rugged housing enables use in challenging industrial environments.
