Line of Modular Power Control Products

June 2, 2011
Building and improving on the design of the company’s Sirius Power Control products, the Innovations line offers performance increases across the S00 (16A up to 10hp) and S0 (40A up to 30 hp) frames while maintaining a 45mm footprint.

The line incorporates sustainable elements that make more efficient use of space and simplify assembly, while reducing power consumption. IO-Link communication modules reduce control wiring and quickly snap onto contactors of direct, reversing and wye-delta motor starters up to 30 horsepower and allow assembly of motor starters with spring-loaded terminals. The IO-Link modules also communicate status and diagnostic data to the company’s Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) platform. AS-Interface communication modules for motor starters also have also been added to the product range. Ring lug terminal connections are now available for the semiconductor, power utility, railway and oil and gas markets. Also, 3RR2 current monitoring relays allow monitoring of overload and underload conditions for both 2- and 3-phase applications. They mount directly to contactors, simplifying assembly. The 3RA27 IO-Link communications modules reduce control wiring while maximizing diagnostic capabilities.
