MYNAH: Dynamic Simulation Software

Oct. 21, 2014
Mimic Simulation Software v3.6 is a next-generation software platform for the process industries, providing flexible dynamic simulation for plant operations life cycle results.

The release includes the mineral processing object library developed in coordination with Portage Technologies, including 14 new advanced modeling objects, integrated with solids property tracking, particle size distribution and tunable comminution matrix in every object. Also added are a new bioreactor advanced modeling object and the advanced turbine (gas & steam), updated furnace and significant performance improvements to the software's pressure-flow solver. Other features include a user defined multi-threading engine that allows for high level parallel computing and optimization of simulation performance. This new capability is built on a 64-bit architecture, including double precision floating point calculations and extended support of 64 simulation nodes in one system. The Bulk Generation Utility allows simulations to be generated directly from project design data for any control system platform. This also allows the user to begin development of the dynamic simulator prior to the control system configuration, extending the life cycle benefits of the simulator investment earlier into the project. The component database now includes more than 1500 compounds and allows the user to define custom or pseudo components providing additional modeling flexibility and performance. The package provides easy integration with Emerson Process Management DeltaV, Schneider Electric Unity and Quantum platforms, Rockwell PlantPAx, Siemens S7 PLC Simulator, and any other automation systems that support OPC, Modbus TCP/IP, or EtherNet/IP protocols. The new version will be available in January, 2015.
