Emerson’s Energy Manager combines pre-engineered hardware and software to simplify industrial electricity monitoring. The Energy Manager provides energy measurements in real time, allowing plant managers to quickly view detailed values and see savings opportunities, such as idle consumption and peak loads. The software’s dashboard provides asset-specific energy use, associated costs and CO2 emissions for up to 10 end points (expandable to 50 endpoints with a license). Most facilities can reduce energy waste up to 10-30% and carbon emissions by up to 15-30% with this technology. The software is available either preinstalled on edge hardware, or as a stand-alone application that can be installed in a virtualized environment. The Energy Manager can also be paired with the Emerson Compressed Air Manager to provide a streamlined view of energy costs and compressed air use across a production line, factory and site.
