Neousys Technology Launches POC-400 Series, A New-generation of Ultra-compact Fanless Embedded Computers with Intel® Elkhart Lake Atom® x6425E Processor

May 5, 2021

Neousys Technology, an industry-leading provider of rugged embedded systems, today announced its new ultra-compact fanless embedded computer, the POC-400 series. Featuring Intel's latest Atom processor, 56 mm (W) x 108 mm (D) x 153 mm (H) ultra-compact dimensions, versatile I/Os and flexible MezIO™ expansion capability, POC-400 suits space-conscious applications without compromising performance and scalability.

Powered by Intel® 10 nm Elkhart Lake Atom x6425E, POC-400 offers 1.8x the CPU performance and 2x the GPU performance of its previous generation. The ultra-compact design measures just 56 mm (W) x 108 mm (D) x 153 mm (H) making it an ideal choice for applications that require installation into confined spaces while still provides sufficient computing power.

POC-400 has an abundance of front-accessible I/Os and features DIN rail mounting design. It also comes with three 2.5GBASE-T Ethernet ports with IEEE 802.3 PoE+ capability. The PoE+ ports offer higher data bandwidth for devices such as NBASE-T cameras and are backward-compatible with 1000/100/10 Mbps Ethernet. Other features include two 4K DisplayPort, two USB3.1 Gen1, two USB 2.0 and COM ports for general industrial applications.

POC-400 provides flexible expansion capability via Neousys' proprietary MezIO™ interface. Users can expand functions like isolated DIO, RS-232/ 422/ 485, USB 3.1 Gen1, ignition control, storage and 4G/ 5G. Moreover, POC-400 comes with an internal M.2 E key socket for a Google TPU or an Intel® Movidius VPU module to transform it into a lightweight AI edge inference platform.

In addition to wide operating temperatures ranging from -25°C to 70°C and wide range DC input from 8V to 35V, POC-400 is one of the more powerful ultra-compact computers suitable for various industrial applications in harsh environments.

"In today's smart factory and automation, systems are more complicated with minimum space available for computer installation. When designing POC-400, we wanted to minimize the size as much as we can to meet the market trend while introducing Intel's new 10 nm Elkhart lake processor for industrial applications." said Dennis Chen, product manager of Neousys Technology.
